About Rebecca Sholler
I am a mechanical engineer with a strong drive for continuous learning and exploration. Currently, I am employed at Coremap, a medical device startup focused on treating Atrial Fibrillation. Within this role, I have honed my expertise in design, CAD, and product development. Additionally, I have actively contributed to the quality team, assisting in quality assurance and the development of our quality system.
My academic journey led me to pursue mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I also pursued a minor in design. My ultimate career aspiration is to delve into product design, blending artistry and design with my technical engineering skills.

This is a wheelchair attachment to allow mechanical wheelchair users to go up stairs
Yo-Yo Manufacturing
Worked with a team to design and manufacture over 50 yo-yos developing a full manufacturing process.
Tidal Clock
A clock made to check the tide a few hours ahead in order to plan your day.
Light Beam Chair
Chair created out of lumber stock inspired by the bouncing of light beams.
Light Enclosure
Pouring wax into molds over ice in order to create texture for the light to penetrate
Ski Build
Skis built from scratch and tested for their vibrational comparison to professionally built skis
Three Dimensional Pendulum
Creating catenary arch like structures using a pendulum to lay down string over combs then dipping structure into liquid to create an arch
Competition Robot
Designed a robot to compete on a game board with different challenges.
Pen Plotter Drawings
Used Grasshopper in order to create a design which stretched the boundary between order and chaos. From this several pen types were used to create different textures and effects.
Running Style Effects
Research Paper and poster on the effect of running styles of force heart rate and fatigue.
